If you are not a hunter or a fisherman, Montana might not be on your travel list, but it should be. The state is home to miles and miles or beautiful landscapes that can help de-stress anyone coming from a big city. There is so much wildlife and rich history within Montana that it’s sure to entertain the whole family. Below are 3 fascinating attractions for the whole family.
The Museum of the Rockies
If you have any interest in dinosaurs, you definitely want to visit the Museum of the Rockies. There are very realistic exhibits of dinosaurs, skeletons, and dinosaur eggs. They actually have the biggest T-rex skull in the world. The museum also has displaying the native people of the 1800’s you inhabited the area.
Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park
The Lewis and Clark Caverns which host some of the biggest caverns in the world was Montana’s very first state park. There a a total of 3 tours you can choose to take that depend on the difficulty level you desire. There are hand rails built into the limestone caverns for extra safety and if you are not scared of being in enclosed spaces and seeing some bats up close, then this will be a fun adventure for you and the kids.
The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center
Getting to see full grown grizzly bears and grey wolves up close is truly a sight to behold. The power and speed of these predators is very impressive and fascinating to watch. The center allows visitors to view the majestic animals up close in their natural habitat. The main goal of the center is to bring awareness to these creatures and their population decline. Even though the animals are used to being around humans, it’s hard not to feel intimidated by their presence. I very fun experience for the whole family.
